The Story of Admiral Yi Sunshin (also called Chungmugong)

This exhibition space helps those interested to learn more about the achievements and personality of Admiral Yi Sunsin. A visitor will understand how he loved his country and people.

• A miniature geobukseon (iron-clad turtle ship) is available. (Visitors can go inside the ship). A 4D device designed to recreate a life-like situation of the time is also available, including scenes of the Japanese invasion in the 16th century.
• Hands-on experience of shooting a fire gun, rowing a boat, hoisting the sails, assembling turtle ship kits, etc.
• Composed of eight zones concerning stories about the achievements of the admiral, his personality and role in repelling the Japanese invasion.
