This symbolic space was created by the City of Seoul to provide
information on King Sejong in order to help visitors understand the country’s
historical identity, through this great leader, in much the same way the U.S.
can be better understood through Abraham Lincoln.
It is a story-telling space, using high-end technology based on
the relevant expert opinion, which aims to give visitors as much information as
possible within a short period of time.
The contents include King Sejong as an ordinary human, his
philosophy of respecting the people, the creation of Hangeul, the country’s
science and arts under his leadership, King Sejong the Great, and the special
exhibit zone. Others include event stages, film showings, and museum shops.
