Boseok-gil is located in Jongno and is composed of shops
stretching end to end for a length of one kilometer. This 40 year old district
is where much of the Jewelry sold in the country is produced and circulated. The
area holds a total of over 1,000 jewelry stores, some 300 design and
manufacturing stores, and 20 licensed evaluators. Currently, many foreign
tourists, especially Japanese tourists, make the trip to this district as prices
here are much cheaper than in their home countries.
