The various night views of Seoul are a pleasure Seoulites never
take for granted. The lights of the bridges across the Hangang (River) mingled
with those of the skyscrapers create a fantastic view at night. Some of the best
places to enjoy captivating night views of Seoul are Namsan (Mt.) and Naksan
Park.
Namsan and Naksan Park are considered the best places to enjoy
night views of downtown Seoul and appear in films often. Visitors to these
locations can also enjoy the night lights of Seoul Fortress and sample various
Korean dishes in Daehak-ro. Bathed in a tingly fresh breeze with the myriad
lights of Seoul playing before your eyes, it won’t be long before your sense
have you convinced you are on another world. Here is a short introduction to the
most recommended locations for great night views and food.
The dazzling lights of the “Castle Wall of Lights”, from Cheonggye
Plaza to the Mojeongyo (Bridge) and the “Palace of Lights”, from Mojeongyo
(Bridge) to Gwanggyo, are almost intoxicating.
Situated near the Donga Ilbo building at Sejong-ro, where Cheonggyecheon (Stream) begins, Cheonggye Plaza offers its visitors the pleasant sight of a four meter high waterfall, and a candle fountain illuminated by differently colored lights. There is also a pond called "Palseokdam" made of stones collected from all eight of the nation’s provinces. This fantastic symphony of water and light has been the muse for many a night stroller.
